Join our daily Hidden Spaces tour, led by one of our costumed hosts who will take you to the attic of Kew Palace.
Explore a hidden space
Learn how the use of the space changed from the construction of the house in 1631 to the Second World War, hunt for the protective witch marks carved into the beams and see how the staff of the royal family may have lived in the 18th century.
The tour concludes with a visit to the Tudor Undercroft, all that remains of the property that stood on the site before Kew Palace.
Access Information
Access to the attic is via a steep staircase and the undercroft can be reached via a short flight of stone steps.
Please note that due to the historic nature of these spaces we are unable to provide lift access.

Tours can be booked in person at Kew Palace for £5.00 per person (not included in Kew Gardens tickets).
To enter the palace you will need a Kew Gardens ticket.
Members are entitled to free tickets for the tour (with valid membership card or information). Members also receive a 10% discount on entrance to Kew Gardens.
