This splendid Georgian mansion, located just 20 minutes from Belfast, has a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces available for your big day, whether it’s a classic white wedding or something more distinctive – and of course, there are breath-taking photo opportunities aplenty within its 100 acres of gardens.

Garden Marquee Sites
Everybody loves a summer wedding – and what better setting than Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, with its ornamental grounds, peaceful woodland, meandering waterways and immaculate lawns? Our two marquee sites, the South Lawn and West Terrace, are licensed for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies, so come rain or shine, you can enjoy your entire day, from ceremony to evening reception, within the grounds of this graceful Georgian residence.

The State Rooms
Follow in the footsteps of royalty, presidents and peacemakers by hosting your guests in the historic and luxurious State Rooms.
Enjoy a regal dinner in the spectacular Throne Room, where HM The Queen received guests at a coronation ball in 1953, or the elegant State Dining Room, surrounded by priceless oil paintings from the Royal Collection.
The original library, now known as the State Drawing Room, makes for a show-stopping reception space. Delicate colours favoured by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, give the room an elegant, relaxing grace. The French windows are used by HM The Queen and members of the royal family when they go outside to greet their guests during garden parties. The room was also the setting for the signing of the Anglo-Irish Agreement in 1985, and the calm Lady Grey's Study, was a favourite of Secretary of State Mo Mowlam during her time at Hillsborough Castle.
